Upadhya Veg - Chitaldroog

This is a convenient vegetarian hotel on NH4. The hotel is spacious enough, parking space also no problem, no need to buy bottled water.They supply purified water. We took South Indian Veg meal. I was surprised to have sumptuous unlimitd meal on plantain leaf for such a lesser price. The service was good too

Just on the outskirts of Chitradurga on NH4 service road is one of those places with clean rest rooms and is ideal for family. The service is also quick and we didn't waste too much time despite stopping for lunch on Sunday. The food was ok, but still would suggest to stick with South Indian banana leaf meals as the north Indian dishes were not great.

When travelling from Hospet to Bangalore we don't find any quality restaurant between Hospet and Chitraduraga. Upadhya Veg restaurant is placed on National Highways towards Bangalore on your left after Chitradurga. This restaurant serves excellent south Indian dishes like Dosas, Vadas, Pongal, Idlies, etc., The place is spacious and clean. The washroom is hygienic and Car parking is spacious.

During our trip from Bangalore to Hampi, we stopped at this restaurant after visiting Chitradurga. It appeared to be busy almost every day. The restaurant is modest, but clean and tidy. We sampled their Chinese dishes - the mushroom was average, the gobi manchurian was good, and the noodles were large and unique in style, although they tasted well. We also had some of the best filter coffee of our Karnataka trip here. On our way back, we decided to stop here again and ordered two coffees with paddu, both of which were definitely worth the stop.

I wasted both money and time visiting this restaurant. It was a terrible experience - cleanliness and service were very poor.
