Starbucks Coffee - Chicago

Stumbled upon this place today and was absolutely blown away by how fun and helpful our barista was <3 the chai was amazing!!

Loved the ham/cheese croissant with authentic bechamel and fluffy laminated pastry… tasted super francais and it was hearty and delicious!Chatted with the really sweet owner about her leek chausson how often do you see leeks in a beautiful baked pastry?Amazing bakery, only wish I had time to try more!

I decided to stop by and the lovely woman there shared all the wonderful details about Coralie and what sets French coffee apart—it’s smooth and not bitter at all. I wasn't planning to try any coffee that day, but fast forward to one of the coldest days this winter when I was at the office. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to give it a try (pun intended). I stopped in and admitted I was a beginner, asking her to recommend something for me. She suggested a chocolate orange espresso drink and even convinced me to try an almond croissant to go with it. Back at work, I started with the croissant. I was expecting it to taste like the typical ones I’d had before, but I was blown away by the delightful buttery flavor. I couldn’t help but exclaim "Wow!" to no one in particular. It was just incredible. And the coffee? She was absolutely right—smooth, not bitter, and simply delicious! Now, I have to be careful with caffeine because it gives me heart palpitations, so I guess I'll never be a coffee connoisseur. But at Coralie, I can truly enjoy coffee in a way that works for me! It feels like I’ve brought a little slice of Paris to downtown Chicago. Definitely fantastic!

This place is such a cute French bakery! Its location is a bit hidden, but once you find it, it's a great place to stop on your commute. The lady working inside is super personable and tries her best to make the drink you like (also offers to switch something if you're not particular about how the drink tastes). They have a sign outside that features seasonal drinks and specials. I really loved the decor on the wall of the Paris metro. The interior also has chairs. I didn't try the pastries inside, but they looked fabulous! I would definitely check out this local place if you haven't already.
