Recess - Chicago

I went on a rainy day and still had a good time. They had Trivia Tuesday, which was really fun. The food wasn’t all that, but overall the vibe was good.

It was my first time trying out Recess for my birthday yesterday and it was AMAZING from the waitress Lizbeth she was very great with her service kept checking up on us to the food omg soo good the music The bottomless mimosas was ON POINT!! The Atmosphere was good the vibes are great love how they had someone walking around taking pictures of any group I definitely got a few. They have different games you can play i think that was the best part besides the mimosas lol. My group definitely enjoyed themselves too and will definitely be visiting Recess again for sure!

We opted not to have the Nashville hot sauce on our chicken and waffles, so we requested a substitution with sweet BBQ sauce. The waitress returned to inform us that she had ensured the hot peppers, which are usually included, were also removed. It was a thoughtful gesture that went above and beyond, and we truly appreciated it!

Recess had an amazing atmosphere! I really enjoyed the music, food, and overall vibe. The buffalo egg rolls were a standout dish. Our server was friendly and provided excellent service. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food and drinks either. Just a heads-up: they do require a credit card to be kept on file before placing your order. I would give it a 9 out of 10, only because the drinks could have been a bit stronger. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I absolutely love Recess! The atmosphere is fantastic, and my servers are always wonderful.
