Las Asadas - Chicago

This will be my first and last visit to this location. I've been to the one in Des Plaines, which was great, but this experience was terrible. We ordered two carne asada burritos, and the steak was boiled instead of grilled like in Des Plaines. It was very unappetizing, and there was liquid leaking out of the tortilla. I hope this was just an off day for them. I will definitely return to the one in Des Plaines, but I won't be back to the one on Western.

If I could I'd give it We went in just wanting tacos. My mom mentioned that that the tacos were on the pricey side and the cashier apparently took offense. He very smartly said that he wasn't going to say anything to her because he didn't want to offend her, then as she's ORDERING he says if you want I can direct you to a place that charges $6 for a taco. Well that $6 dollar place might be charging high but I'm sure they are delivering consistent product. This food was terrible. I ordered a steak torta and when I went to eat it the torta looked smooshes and the meat was gray. And not gray as if they had cooked it ahead of time like gray as in they had boiled it and just put it on the bread. It tasted terrible I threw it away. The Alpastor was poorly seasoned pork, it had no flavor and the big chunks of pineapple just made it too sweet. I ordered a chicken taco for my daughter and it was just boiled chicken. For him being so offense at the price I would have hoped the would have been better. This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in my lifetime. I forgot the forgettable horchata was just milk with some cinnamon. Whoever is deciding how the food is made needs to be fired. It's unfortunate because my mom has fond memories of this place. If you want decent food go to Arturo's down the street or Taqueria Mazamitla on Belmont. Won't be coming back here, not even drunk. Also they're parking lot is stupid.

Baracola 5 star he uses beef cheeks seasoned perfectly with perfect salsa. No idea why ratings aren't higher. Try the baracola tell me it isn't 5 star??? Nice people working there

Simple and delicious. I had the steak torta and it was awesome. I am picky about the rice and it was perfect!! Flavored just right.. We ordered the tacos and were so pleased! Yum

They have the BEST meat in any tacos/burritos around, quality-wise and ratio to other ingredients! Big chunks of meat, not that shredded and/or gristly crap most places serve. I typically get chicken or steak, barbacoa is great as well. I'm waiting for the day they add carnitas. They may be a bit more expensive but it's absolutely worth it! I first had them at their old Brookfield location years ago, but when they shut down I resorted to their 47th St location (defunct as well) which never did live up... But I came to try this joint and the old Asada Magic I knew and loved has returned to my life! I almost cried after I ate that burrito! And the dude was really nice, quick service. Got the extra salsas I asked for which are freshly made with a good flavor and heat level. They also thankfully have a parking lot, since street parking is shitty in that area; it's a tight squeeze tho, lol.
