フィードバックを提供するThis place has a very genuine experience of a Sushi Restaurant Bar. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The food tasted very fresh and not made to suit an inexperienced taste bud. I had the Shirmp Tempura Udon, and even though it wasn't flavorful it tasted just right. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I would like to go back and try more on the menu because I trust the the chef.
Great tasting sushi. The sushi rice was excellent and the fish fresh and delicious. The beef udon was very tasty, piping hot and the noodles and broth were great. Good selection of sushi and sashimi. The green tea mochi ice cream was good. We went at lunch time and the service was prompt and courteous.
Sad to hear this place is closing on June 30! I HIGHLY recommend trying it before they do. The sushi selection is amazing and the tastes are authentic. We tried Spicy Tuna Maki, Dragon Maki, Philly Roll with Smoked Salmon, and Texas Maki all fantastic
This is perhaps one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in Chicago, and apparently, it's one of the oldest. Ambience: in the dining area, it looks like a renovated diner while the sushi bar is much more Japanese-like. It is quiet when do one is there, but at crowded times, it's very loud! Service: very prompt service, but be aware that 50 pieces of sushi is a lot and will take longer, especially when there's a full house! Food: OMG the tantan ramen is probably the best ramen I've ever had in Chicago (even better than Cocoro's ramens, which rank really high on my list . Plus, it's rare to see this ramen on the menu in Chicago so give it a try! The sushi is also very fresh and traditional :
The menu offers a wide variety of options, and the staff is both friendly and quick. We allowed the sushi chef to choose our meal, and we enjoyed four courses of fantastic dishes. The fish was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. This place is a must-try!
