Grand Hot Pot - Chicago

We visited this restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful time. It's a small BYOB place, and while the service was a bit lacking with just one server handling the whole restaurant, they seem to have a lot of confidence in what they’re doing. Despite that, the food and overall experience were fantastic, and we would definitely recommend it.

It’s a fun experience, great price for a good amount of food, but there was an issue because it was a small place, and we were kind of rushed out so that the next group can sit down.

The service was slow, and some of the items we ordered were missing until we inquired about them again. They appeared to have issues managing reservations. The food was quite good, although the broth was rather basic. However, the ambiance was absolutely beautiful.

I recommend against using OpenTable to make a reservation at this restaurant. I did so, but when I arrived for my reservation, they informed me that they hadn't checked OpenTable and were fully booked, so they could not honor my reservation.

Great aromen. I wish we had more lead. this was our first time at gmhp, and it was not the same as previous experiences with Mongolian hotpots, because here the lid should stay on the pot. my advice would be to heal the timing rate of the server, to add all ingredients after the suggested time, then spoon it into her bowl, ie not think it as a piece to a time fondue. the individual server was busy (to) as most tabular were occupied. the broth (sp. the spicy broth) was very good., the meat and the vegs seemed very generous. the vegetables should have been cut into smaller pieces. a pleasant meal, even if I leave with an orange polkadot shirt.
