Very fun place! A lot of standard Mexican food, done pretty well (maybe a little sauce-heavy but still good). Super friendly and helpful staff. Lively atmosphere and great location in Lincoln Square. Recommend.

I have been coming to Garcia's for years and the last couple of visits were just ok. The food has been great, and love the addition of the fish tacos. Really awesome! We had a older male waiter a few weeks ago that when we were ordering was waving his hand back and forth to hurry us up while we were ordering from the menu. He even grabbed the menu from my guest before he was done reading what he wanted. He was completely rude and unprofessional. The other thing is what is up with the photographer walking around taking pictures to see them when you walk out? This isn't a theme park. Please get rid of this, it isn't working. You are a wonderful local Mexican restaurant, not a tourist destination for pictures. The photographer coming to the table every time we are there asking for pictures is annoying. Food is great, service is good, just not the server waving us to hurry up.

This place is amazing! It is heads above your neighborhood burrito place, but just a step down from fine dining. First off, it is always busy. Always. Don’t expect really fast service, but they are all very friendly! Secondly, and most important, you must order the tortilla soup. It is a meal size soup bowl. In fact, I took half of it home! It is huge. It is famous throughout the city, and even written up in the Chicago Tribune. It is the best tortilla soup I’ve ever had in my life, and I travel to Mexico frequently! Anyhow, don’t miss the soup. Enjoy.
