This is the place NOT TO MISS!!!! Nick and his crew are amazing. We were a foursome with an 11-year-old who had done one pasta making class and was interested in a place that actually made their own pasta. Bottomline, it was AMAZING. Service was EXCEPTIONAL! Personable, attentive, professional, even with protective face masks! Exceptional wine, beer and REAL root beer!!! The attention to detail was unmatched by any other place we ate on our weeklong vacation at the Indiana Dunes. A short drive to Valparaiso, but on a fun street with lots to enjoy. Food was wonderful combinations that tickled the most decerning of tastebuds! A beautiful variety of pastas with diverse ingredients...crab, vegetarian, short ribs, savory sauces . Topped off by wonderful desserts. Albanos is even worth the drive from Chicago. This small marvelous restaurant is setting a benchmark in fresh, farm to table EXCELLENCE.

Albano's is an amazing little restaurant in a great town. They have a lot of competition from other great restaurants in Valpo, but they stand out. The chef is creative, friendly and excited about his food. All the entrees were delicious and included some of the best pasta we have ever had. The setting is great. You can watch all the kitchen activities or sit outside and take in the town. Prices are reasonable. Beer and wine options are great. Overall one of the best new restaurants we have stumbled upon on our weekly journey from Chicago to Laporte. Worth going a little out of your way to try. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! It’s my new favorite restaurant. I wish I would have tried it sooner. The meatballs are out of this world, the caramelized onion tortellini is delicious as is the chicken tortellini. Can’t wait to try everything else. Friendly staff make it even more enjoyable.

This is the best comfort food in town. The staff is incredible and the service is perfect.
