Tattenhall Marina - Chester

Fantastic fish and chips! It's a more upscale option compared to others in the area. They have an excellent selection, and the food was served quickly, fresh, and piping hot. It’s officially my new favorite fish and chips spot!

What a great sound. an extensive marina next to the shropshire union canal. many facilities for boaters, including an artwork, workshop and a licensed cafe bar. very friendly staff, friendly service and wonderful food. the cafe bar is very well presented with clean and well maintained facilities. many outside seats to enjoy the view and watch the (boat) world. a great place to stay some time and relax. highly recommended.

This is a fantastic spot for a little getaway. The pod was immaculate and very dog-friendly, with some tasty treats left for our furry friend. I highly recommend the Boathouse Cafe. I enjoyed a lovely dinner of chicken in a fantastic sauce, while my partner had lamb stroganoff. We shared a few drinks and dessert, and the total came to £45. The Big Boat Driver cocktail, priced at £8.75, was generous and could easily be shared!

The atmosphere here is incredible—beautiful and serene, with an unobstructed view of the skyline. The spacious indoor café offers ample seating options outdoors as well. In front of the restaurant, there's a brokerage showcasing narrowboats and wide beams for sale.

We spent the winter of 2021/22 at Tattenhall Marina and found the staff to be friendly and exceptionally helpful; they were always willing to assist with anything we needed. The marina itself was well-maintained, and the facilities were consistently immaculate. While we’re not usually fans of outdoor dining, every meal we had at the Boathouse impressed us with its quality. The dishes were made with top-notch ingredients by the talented and dedicated chef, Carol. Thank you, Teresa, Oliver, and all your staff!
