Rope Loft Dining Room - Chester

This restaurant offers stunning views and delicious food. It can be a bit breezy by the water. We enjoyed our main course on the upper deck and were offered indoor seating for coffee and dessert. The chowder here is the best I've ever had, especially the haddock chowder which was loaded with fish. The shrimp taco was also outstanding. Our party also tried the pan seared halibut and seafood chowder, which were equally delicious. The waitress provided great recommendations and we loved the apple and blueberry crumble for dessert. Make sure to bring layers if sitting outside, but the experience is definitely worth it. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations.

I ordered the one piece haddock and it was a good size portion. The fish was cooked perfectly and all the food was excellent. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is a great place to stop by. The only downside is that parking can be a bit of an issue, but it is definitely worth it for the delicious food and great vibe!

This restaurant is opened seasonally so I've been waiting all winter to try it! It was fabulous! I think this is the best seafood chowder I've had to date! The service was great and the views were Lovely! 5*

Ver knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free diets. The waitress could even tell me what was made in the same fryer and what was not. The beet salad was divine and the fish cakes incredible. Would definitely recommend.

Our first dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic. It's recommended to make a reservation in advance, but we didn't and ended up waiting for 30 minutes. The food was amazing, especially the seafood chowder that my spouse informed me was the best they've ever had. The kids' meals were enjoyable, but the selection was limited as expected. The wait for our food was on the longer side, over 45 minutes, but it was manageable while we sipped on our drinks. This may not be the best choice for a quick meal with hungry children due to the wait times. The restaurant is located in a busy area, particularly during warm summer days, so parking can be quite difficult to find.
