Although we were too full to indulge in a dessert, both the bouillabaise and my wife's steak were cooked to perfection. The staff were all welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. We enjoyed a comfortable night in one of their three well-appointed rooms and started the morning with a delicious full English breakfast before departing. We are looking forward to returning for another visit in the future.
This restaurant is on the pricier side for pub food, but it offers a high-end dining experience in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. After an unsuccessful search for a meal in Whaley Bridge, we stumbled upon this gem on our way back to Manchester. We were pleased to find that they were still serving food in the afternoon. I ordered the whole plaice cooked on the bone with tenderstem broccoli, shrimp and caper butter sauce, and chips, while my wife chose the guinea-fowl with pomme purée, mixed vegetables, and mushroom and brandy sauce. My plaice was cooked perfectly, with tender and flavorful flesh and a delicious char on the broccoli. However, the real star of the show was my wife's guinea-fowl, which was moist and tender, and paired perfectly with the indulgent pomme purée and exceptional mushroom and brandy sauce. This meal reminded us of our dining experience at The Hand and Flowers in Marlow, and is definitely one of the best pub meals we have ever had.
One of the best country pubs. most of the local 'land pubs' have closed, but 'the swann inn' is just too good to lose 12 okt, 2011 a very well established country pub, excellent service, good food, parking, one of the locals that 't closed
Our friend Rick, who grew up in the tranquil hills of High Peak, recommended The Swan Inn in Kettleshulme to us. He has been a regular at this charming pub for years and wanted us to experience the delicious food and cozy atmosphere that make it a favorite among locals. The pub is small, with two cozy rooms filled with knick-knacks and beautiful antique furniture. Despite being busy on a Sunday lunchtime, they managed to accommodate our group of ten. The menu at The Swan Inn offers honest, traditional dishes that are sure to satisfy any appetite.
In my opinion, the black one is one of the best places to eat in the opposite, and in the opposite I mean, greater a lot, north cheshire and north west derbyshire.
