Excellent french fries for your poutine...great variety for all tastes, superb burgers and pizzas. From breakfasts to full course meals!
It's -30 Celsius, snowing. We come in with my 4 pound yorkie in my jacket. The woman said that she could get a 2000$ fine for having a dog inside a restaurant. (We were in Chertsey, not downtown Montreal, I doubt that any inspectors could show up). The restaurant was emptyI suggested that I put the dog in a carry bag that is closed off. No. They took my order and made me eat outside the doors of the restaurant. It's a yorkshire terrier, not a Great Dane or a Llama.Anyways, I was a little dissapointed as my dog was never refused anywhere before. In the city, all the restaurants have been to have been most accomodating. Maybe it is frowned upon in the woods. The BLT was under-average
Marco's has evolved from a roadside chip stand into a licensed family restaurant that can be best described as high end casse croute. While they have greatly expanded their menu items over the years and feature lots of home cooked meals, their standby remains their frites and their most popular offering is poutine - all 28 varieties of it. My wife and I eat there almost every Friday night and their on-the-ball staff treat us like royalty.
It's been awhile since I visit, the last time it was still a nice fast food offerings great quality food at a good price. The "Big Marco" burger was my favourite, and don't get me wrong, it's still one of the best burger you can find. Since the renovations a really nice job by the way, the prices went through the roof! 32$ for 2 trios, (2 big marcos, 1 poutine, 1 ring an 2 drinks) come on it's Chertsey not downtown Toronto or Montréal. I don't mind paying for good food, not for the renovations. Its not worth the money.
