La Mesa Market - Chelsea

The quality has gone completely downhill. The consome for the birria tacos now consistently comes with a half inch oil cap, which used to happen here and there… But now they even make posts advertising their consome like that. Gross.Pictures are from their own posts, before and after.

I would love to talk to the owner to tell her about the poor service the workers have. I was waiting for a long time to be attended to, the workers pushed past us and did not attend to us so we could pay. They gave more importance to fixing a horn than serving people. Very bad experience.

This was my first time trying la mesa, all my friends swearrrr up and down that this is chelsea’s finesttt and some even say mass’s finest for birria tacos. I will say they was veryyyy good but they did lack some seasoning/ flavor tasted pretty bland but i still ate them tf up left no crumbs, besides that it was very good the way they are presented is def a 10/10 and texture is perfect id def recommend trying?

I like the service but the food takes a little while and inside the premises is a small store.

Ok so I just had to address this issue La mesa market used to be my favorite food spot when I say favorite I mean I’m ordering from them every week multiple times and it’s always for their Birria tacos But ever since they have changed the size of their tortillas The quality has been less than before. Sometimes my order will not come with enough consume it’ll be less than half filled in the small cup. They give limes are not fresh, and when you receive some, you only get two or one, the amount put into the tacos have changed and you just get a mouthful of cheese Instead of actual meat now it’s disappointing cause I love recommending them and now I tell people be mindful
