フィードバックを提供するI ordered food through Just Eat and it took two and a half hours to arrive. I'm not sure if the delay was the fault of Just Eat or Martella's. Interestingly, I also ordered food from another restaurant at the same time through Just Eat, and that order arrived in 20 minutes. There was no explanation or apology for the delay. Unfortunately, when the food did finally arrive, the chicken burger was severely overcooked, almost burned.
I recently ordered a bag of chips at a restaurant. I was only informed AFTER I HAD PAID that there would be a wait for my order. Shouldn't they inform customers of this before they pay, so they can decide if they want to wait? Additionally, when asked if I wanted salt and vinegar on my chips, I requested only vinegar due to health reasons. However, when I got home, I found that salt had already been added without my knowledge. This lack of communication and disregard for customer preferences led me to throw away my last bag of chips from Martella's. It is disappointing that the restaurant did not own up to their mistake. I will not be returning as a customer.
The food and service at this restaurant are truly exceptional. They provided delicious meals for 20 residents, all of whom raved about how fantastic it was. I highly recommend this place.
We have been using M fir many years we have never received anything else but good food and excellent customer service. An old fashioned fish and chips shop and we cannot recommend them highly enough and we can’t wait for lockdown to ease up totally and spend time sitting in the Cafe part of the shop and eat our Friday meal again. Thank you for years of tremendous service to the Chelmer Village Community. JR
Food is ok but the kids portion sizes are terrible £5:50 for not even half a handful of chips and a mini sausage I normally order from moulsham cafe thought try a change what a disappointment that’s a mini carton)
