Bem Estar - Chaves

We stayed for one night and everything was great Room was big enough with a balcony. Staff was friendly Simply but efficient breakfast (Traducido por Google) Nos alojamos una noche y todo fue genial. Not many dishes to choose between but what we tried was very good. The servings were big and prices absolutely reasonable. Local wine was cheap and so was the beer.

We visited Bem Estar whilst we stayed at Chaves after somebody had recommended the food to us. We are sol glad we went. The chef came out of the kitchen to welcome us with the waitress and suggested we have soup to start which we all agreed was the best soups we had ever had (green bean) we all agreed it tastes like a roast dinner, the chef came and made sure we were enjoying our soup and then suggested a tuna mousse which was absolutely delicious. After this he suggested the steak which was beautifully tender and served with vegetables, salad, chops and rice. By this time we were starting to feel a little full, next we were offered desserts and 2 of us chose the creme brulee which was lush and the other 2 had the house special which was a creme anglaise, sponge, coffee they raved about this dessert. We had 2 bottles of wine and some beers at the table, also complimentary shots at the end of the meal. The total cost for all this was €57. we were in Chaves for 11 nights and we tried different restaurants but this was our favourite and we ended up visiting 2 more times.

This bar-restaurant is in one of the main Street of the city of Vila Real. You can choose for different kind of menu for reasonable price. Usually the menu coming with a soup, a main dish, a drink and the coffee. The main dish it can be of fish(codfish-bacalhao-, fresh grilled fish etc ... or meat(sausages, pork, veal or others . With the main dishes usually like side there are fry potatoes and salad and fry egg.I took an alheira and was been not bad. The price is cheap, the atmosphere warming and the wine quiet good.
