Sitar Indian Cuisine - Chattanooga

The restaurant has delicious flavors, but they are understaffed causing service to be unpredictable. We opted to dine outside on a nice day. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and was disappointed by the lack of chicken in the dish, although the sauce was plentiful and very tasty.

I would not recommend this restaurant. We ordered biryani and received a very small portion of Pulav instead. When we complained to the owner, he was very rude and unapologetic. The price was also extremely high for what we received. Overall, a disappointing experience.

The person waiting for us was helpful and seemed to enjoy his job... that makes a difference. The food was good and we asked for Indian Spicy and it was good. No way to compare it with other Indian foods so you need to try it yourself. We have a $20.00 combination plate and it was more than we could eat (I don't have so often.. Worth a visit if you want to taste Indian food.

This was the first time my wife and I had eaten here. We had the Chicken Biryani, goats Kadahi and Naan traditionally and with garlic. The taste of each dish was amazing in its own style. The food was delicious, the service was great and we will return to try more amazing flavors of India.

The service was fantastic, the food options were excellent, and in my opinion, this place serves the best Indian food in the neighborhood. Although there isn't a specific menu for children, you can easily order chicken for them from the regular menu or share from your own dish. My 5-year-old really enjoyed the chicken tikka from the tandoori menu.
