Basil Thai Cuisine-charlotte

The food was absolutely fantastic—my son exclaimed it was amazing, especially the green tea fried ice cream he had for dessert! The service was top-notch as well. The manager, a handsome young man whose name I can't recall, came to our table and was incredibly pleasant. Our server, a Latin gentleman with a long name that was shortened (I apologize for not remembering his name), also provided exceptional customer service. When he learned it was my son's 18th birthday, he surprised him with some special ice cream. Thank you for that! P.S. We had an excellent dining experience with fantastic food, drinks, and service. The pineapple mojito was a standout! Eating the fruit at the bottom was like a fruity shot, soaking up all that alcohol—definitely a fun touch. We tried the chicken with greens, tofu noodles, and the green tea cheesecake. The cheesecake was amazing, though I wasn't a fan of the fortune cookie; we both felt the texture was off. It would be better if the cookie were finely ground instead of coarse, as it had an unsettling mouthfeel. Aside from that, this place is perfect for meeting friends or going on a date. The background music was pleasant soft pop, and the decor beautifully blended modern style with Thai elements. Highly recommended!

Had dinner here last Wednesday. The place jumped! Our waitress, Chelsea, was attentive and cared for us. The food was just amazing. I had the vegetable roast with chicken and it came perfect. Vegetables still crunch and must not be cooked over. T, the manager, was great. She ran between the hostess to be holding an eye on the take-out bags, supported at the bar, and checked all the money in customers. Now one of my favorite Thai places!

Decent garlic chicken though visually not very appealing and had lettuce in it. Also super strange menu things like no drink list on lunch menu and they won't do fried rice with a dish for an up charge, you have to get a full entree of it.

Brian provided excellent service during our visit! He was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I absolutely love dining out! I highly recommend trying the Sake (le che) rice wine. The soups we ordered were fantastic, and the presentation—with the flashy flames—was incredibly aesthetic! I also enjoyed the mango martini. Although we had a reservation for 8 PM, we had to wait 15 minutes for our table. Despite that, we were very satisfied with the taste of the food!
