Good place to drink beer and good service as well. I’m a local and Irish is always friendly, nice and attentive bar attendant always got a smiley face very welcoming. I will keep coming back.

I enquired with the Mattara in regards to having my wedding reception there in 2019. Covid hit and everyone employed at the Mattara was accommodating as possible even through the pandemic, keeping in contact through email. When I was finally able to meet up with...Kayla (event manager) face-to-face she was nothing but reassuring, accommodating and very professional. Kayla answered absolutely all of my questions and organised a DJ, cocktail bar, photo booth and food (entrees and mains cocktail food). She even accommodated my son who is anaphylactic to eggs and nuts! I spoke with Kayla in regards to having the Mattara as plan B if it was raining on the day (thinking it absolutely wouldn’t be, being at the end of November). Sure enough on the day it did not stop raining. I gave Kayla a ring to let her know that plan b was happening. She reassured me on the phone and took care of absolutely everything! The ceremony and reception was amazing, so well organised and the food was absolutely amazing! All staff on board that night including Kayla and Renee were just amazing – professional, friendly, caring and did exactly was I had asked for and for an extremely reasonable price! (Check out the function deals). This wedding had 60 guest and 10 children! who were kept occupied in the kids play area (equipment games). I would not hesitate in recommending the Mattara for a wedding or any kind of function! Perfect perfect perfect! In every way. Thank you everyone at the Mattara for making our wedding day amazing. I went to the Mattara Hotel last Saturday night for a family dinner. We were seated straight away which was really good as we had elderly with us. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating as we made a few changes on the night with our booking. The food that we all received was great and we did not wait a long time. Was a great overall experience and a family friendly venue
