We were able experience the outdoor seating which was just lovely. I also checked out the store and took some homemade snacks for the room. If I was local I would use their products all the time! So worth checking out!
My fiance and I were regulars at Dovetail while we were living in Charlestown and have always been floored by the food and atmosphere. This past Sunday, I held my bridal shower at Dovetail and was AMAZED by the party they put on.The menu was fantastic and specially curated with input from my mom and I. Dovetail was fantastic in including us and making adjustments as needed. The space itself is beautiful, and the staff was incredible always asking if folks needed refills, staying on top of timing, and generally being lovely individuals to be around. The food was unparalleled, and everyone was raving about how they have to come back.I truly can't thank the Dovetail team enough if you are considering having a night out here, or even hosting a private event here, do it! You'll be very happy!
We had a larger party here for a special occasion. Amazing service, Carrie was so friendly. The waitstaff seems to really enjoy their job and be easygoing and flexible. Food was amazing. 10/10!
Very loud. Food was not good, a big disappointment. The tuna crudo didn't have much tuna and it was hardly seasoned. The pasta was also not good. Their other location, brewer's fork was much better (was there a couple of years ago so maybe it is not good anymore, idk)
One of my favorite restaurants in Boston for contemporary American and Italian food. This has been one of my go-to spots for pasta dinner, and I really enjoyed my recent brunch experience here as well. Their handmade pasta has an amazing texture, andI?m especially fan of their fat spaghetti. The local clams spaghetti and the sausage ragu rigatoni are also great, and theirminimal seasoning helps highlight their textures. While no longer offered, tomato braised calamari was also one of my favoritesas the mix of tomato sauce and lemon was an excellent pairing with the calamari. When I recently took my friend here for brunch,I was disappointed to hear that they don?t serve pasta, but I still liked all the menus that we tried. Huevos rancheros was amore filling meal overall, but I also liked the coconut milk mussels that came with fragrant Thai spices and an interesting kickfrom the chili. Since they don?t take reservations, the wait times are usually around 30 minutes for dinner, but they?recertainly worth the wait. The wait times are definitely shorter for brunch, but I would highly recommend trying their dinnermenus first.
