We just left Reid’s and will absolutely be making the hour long drive to come back. Everything tasted amazing (brisket sandwich, pulled pork nachos, kids chicken strips, and a peach apple pie with sides of baked potato salad and bbq beans). The service was fantastic and our waitress was so sweet to our kids and asked them questions. It was our first time eating in a restaurant since quarantine started and it was wonderful.
Some friends took us to this restaurant, and we were not disappointed! We started with the burnt ends as an appetizer, and they were incredible! I ordered a three-meat dinner that included sausage, ribs, and sliced brisket, along with baked beans and Cajun fried okra. My husband chose a three-meat dinner with chicken, chopped brisket, and sausage, along with coleslaw and beans. The sausage was outstanding—smoky and practically melted in my mouth. The rib meat fell right off the bone, and the brisket was delicious. For dessert, we tried their caramel cheesecake and chocolate peanut butter fried cakes. The cheesecake was among the best I’ve ever had, and my husband finished every bite of his fried cake. We ended up with so much food that we had leftovers for the next day!
This restaurant truly lives up to its outstanding reputation! The dining area is spotless, the staff is incredibly attentive, and the food is absolutely amazing. We shared an order of Karley Fries, which were delicious. For my main course, I had the Bulger sandwich with duck, and it was delightful as well. I could only finish half, and that was more than enough to satisfy my hunger. Since it came highly recommended, I had to try the chocolate peanut butter fried cake for dessert. Paired with vanilla ice cream, it was the perfect way to wrap up a fantastic meal. I will definitely be coming back!
A group of us from the Quilt of Valor organization gathered here for lunch before presenting three veterans with their QOV bar. The service was quick, and the staff were very friendly. I opted for a smaller portion and ordered a nacho cheese dish topped with pulled pork. It was a fantastic meal, but I could only manage to eat half of it. Guess what I'll be having for dinner tomorrow! Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals as well, with four of them finishing their entire dishes. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend giving it a try!
