Edison James Island - Charleston

What a fantastic restaurant! We absolutely loved the charming farmhouse ambiance. The sommelier was incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable, guiding us to some exquisite wine choices that paired perfectly with our meals. Our waitress truly exceeded our expectations, ensuring that my husband and I received delicious dishes that accommodated our numerous allergies. She even offered to take our photo on the deck and surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate our honeymoon. We indulged in the shrimp cavatelli and pan-seared swordfish, both of which were outstanding. The entire place felt welcoming, and I highly recommend paying a visit!

We are so happy to have a great place to eat that offers this agricultural environment we like, but here on James Island. Downtown Vibe, but on our island. Thank you, Edison! Love the friendly ambience, attentive staff, perfect background music and great wine specialities such as semi-open bottles on Wednesday!

We visited Folly Beach for the first time to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better restaurant experience! Everything about this place and its menu was fantastic. We started with the charcuterie plate, and among the six of us, we tried several soups; the Thai coconut soup was exceptional. My son enjoyed the gnocchi with crab, which was delicious, while my husband had the green curry meatballs that were equally impressive. We also indulged in desserts, and the apple fritters and key lime pie were great. Our server, Paula, was amazing and surprised my son with a dessert and a song, which made the occasion even more special. We can’t wait to return whenever we’re back in town—it’s a must-visit spot! I recently had a truly lovely dining experience here. From the decor and atmosphere, which are calming, to the staff who are friendly and helpful without ever being overbearing, to the food and wine this was the best meal out we've enjoyed in a long time. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. I will be back often!
