The Sanctuary Cafe - Chard

What can I say? This place is phenomenal and gets better with each visit. I've been coming here for a few years now, and you can truly see the love and dedication the staff have for the animals. All the animals appear happy and have plenty of space to thrive. The enclosures are well-designed, and there's a wealth of information available about the animals and wildlife in general. It's definitely worth a visit, and it was a refreshing change after visiting a very different sanctuary earlier in the day.

What a fantastic place! We attended a three-day course at the educational institution, and the attentive and helpful staff were always available. The venue itself is beautiful and perfect for daily activities. Highly recommended!

We spent a few hours at this wonderful place. There are plenty of animals to see for kids up to 7 years old, and I was pleased to see that all the animals had ample space and enrichment. The café offered delicious food with many vegan options. Additionally, it’s great to know that it's a charitable organization. Overall, we had a fantastic morning!

Astonishing as usual. was not in a because of kovid, but there were many changes and looks beautiful. as usual, the animals were well cared and happy. this place has long been a family lover of us! our mentally ill infant could hardly contain themselves, but the free chickens were a great opportunity for them to learn how to respect them and give them space.

Lovely place to visit. The animals have great accomodation and are well looked after. Suitable trip for the whole family and very affordable. Children's play area and a cafe too. Highly recommended.
