Zen Chinese Food - Chandler

The food at this restaurant is great, but the service is terrible. There’s no way to escape the poor service. The language barrier is also a concern. While I was waiting, I saw two customers leave because of the employee who attended to them.

I have not yet tried the food so my 1 star is for the service. I ordered a take out and got put on hold in the middle of my order so someone else's order could be taken. 30 minutes later got a rude call about how I had not picked my food up yet. I was just leaving work and on my way. When I arrived the lady was extremely rude to me for no reason and this continued until I had paid and left. I will not be coming back. Lots of negativity from this place. Update: once home I realized my order was $4 more than the menu price. I don't know where the extra charges came from. The owner's response below states that there may be longer wait times for ordering, which I understand completely. I was not upset having to wait; I was upset that I was already ordering when I was put on hold for them to take another person's order.

Extremely disappointing customer service! When I placed my order, the staff mistakenly assumed it was for takeout and didn’t bother to ask for clarification. After I sat down to enjoy my meal, they called me over and told me I couldn’t sit there because it was meant for takeout. They insisted I needed to leave a tip in order to sit down. I had already tipped when I made my purchase, but they pressured me into leaving an additional tip just to be able to eat there. To top it off, the food was subpar! The sauce tasted like it came from a packet, the vegetables were undercooked, and there was hardly any flavor. The only redeeming item was the low mein, which was decent. Overall, being shouted at in that manner and pressured for tips is completely unacceptable!

The staff member present had a poor attitude, and even though the menu offers a variety of options, the service was disappointing. I had a very unsatisfactory experience and will not be returning. I do not recommend this place.

They was nice and courteous eating was tasty and fresh all these reviews call their rude aren?t give full context to their situation they just do not correspond rude costumers
