Lai Lai Wok - Champaign

I was quite hesitant to visit Lai-Lai Wok for the first time, as I had heard mixed reviews about the authenticity and quality of Chinese food in the area. However, after my experience, I can confidently say it’s a strong contender for both. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this restaurant, and the portion sizes are enormous! I mistakenly ordered a main dish along with a soup and an appetizer, which turned out to be enough food for at least three more meals. The pricing was also reasonable for the amount of food we received. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Lai-Lai Wok.

My second dine-in experience at the restaurant was an improvement. We ordered the beef noodle soup, Chinese pancakes, and eggplants with basil. The handmade noodles had a wonderful chewy texture that I really enjoyed. Considering the price of $10.50, I thought the portion was just right. The pancake was also delicious and came in a generous size. However, the wait time was a bit longer than expected. Overall, the food was quite good, the portions were decent for the price, and the service was prompt since it wasn't as busy as some other Chinese restaurants in town.

You had to order through a very confusing app. Food did not arrive together so some of the members of my group didn't get their food until all of us had already received food, they're is a never ending dinging bell near the dining room that is veryannoying. Food was sub par and not worth the wait or price. Overall very poor experience.

We couldn't finish our meal; we had to leave it behind. However, the service was quick and friendly, and the food was quite delicious.
