Chalet du Glacier des Bossons

A jewel of a find after a cable car ride and a steep walk to view the glacier. The chalet just seems to radiate sunshine and joy. We did not eat, but enjoyed a delicious glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Stunning views and warm, friendly service. We loved it.

This chalet came at the end of a steep walk up form the valley floor. (we could have taken the cable car right to the door, but that's cheating). I ordered a well deserved beer and Helen ordered a crepe. after one taste of the crepe I was compelled to order food for myself. ham and cheese crepe with fries arrived with a second beer and it was delicious. we spent a good long time gazing up at the Bossons glacier which lies above the Mont Blanc tunnel. it is such a beautiful flower decked place to sit and watch the world, more sort of stand still than go by. the owners were very friendly and were responsible for a fantastic exhibition featuring Air India crashes on the glacier, parts of the wreckage and memorabilia.

This restaurant is just amazing !!! Wonderful outside terrace from where you can see the Bossons glacier, very good and well priced food, wonderful setting with flowers everywhere and very friendly and efficient service by the owners' son.I took the cable car to went up there but walked down to the parking space. The walk is about 40 minutes in a beautiful and peaceful forrest. I will definitely come back again as this restaurant is such a wonderful place.

Best place for glacier view and for omelets in Chamonix. Nice walk in the forest to go to the chalet or you can have a funny ride on a old chairlift for your kids. And for sure the best Genepy offer by the owners.

Take the Bossons chairlift - a lovely ride, super views on the way down - and at the top you reach the Chalet. Nice food, very well priced and a marvellous view of the glacier (enhanced by a trail to a viewing point). A lovely way to spend an hour or two.
