Albert 1er - Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

I had two lunches there, both fabulous! The first day I had the tasting menu and the second day did a la cart. I preferred the tasting menu because I love small portions of many offerings. All of the wine suggestions were lovely, I ordered by the glass. Yes, it’s expensive but absolutely worth it!

Compared to other one star restaurants this was about 9th out of the 10 best i have been to in the last couple of years. Above average on the price but not the most expensive. But it is Chamonix. The service was great if not a bit old fashioned and the drinks and food also great. But i can’t really remember any of the dishes or cocktails standing out which is why you go to this type of place. Great effort, very good food but missing something new.

This was as faultless an experience as you can get in a restaurant The food, service and wine was impeccable.

Albert 1er is by far the premier restaurant in Chamonix.

This 2 Michelin star restaurant was as good as some 3 star's we have dined at.
