First Watch - Chamblee

Another two orders came and went, and still, no sign of our food. After another 15 minutes, my husband checked again and got the same response: "we're waiting on the tacos." Now, it had been 30 minutes past our original pickup time. I finally told him to forget it and ask for a refund so we could just head home. They said the manager would be out shortly. Coincidentally, our food came out at 11:30 a.m.! We grabbed it and left, not wanting to wait any longer for the manager after already spending 30 minutes at the restaurant. When we got home and opened the bag, we found that the potatoes had been tossed in carelessly, causing grease to seep out and stain my pants permanently. Our tacos were cold, likely because they had been sitting on the counter while we waited for the “tacos.” Overall, this was a really disappointing experience, and now my pants are ruined.

Unfortunately, I have had poor service and food more than once at this location. Our server took 10 minutes just to great us, and when the food arrived, it was cold. The bread in which the eggs Benedict was served on was so stale and hard it could not be cut and kept sliding around on the plate when served.

I've had breakfast here several times, and the service has always been excellent. However, I recently ordered an omelette that was quite undercooked, to the point where I felt it wasn't safe to eat. I sent it back, and the cook personally brought me a new one. Interestingly, the side greens that come with the breakfast complement the meal nicely. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re looking for something a step up from Waffle House. It’s not quite on par with Egg Harbor in Sandy Springs, but it definitely has potential.

Now, let’s talk about the service. I used the website to place my name on the waitlist, which indicated a wait time of 10-15 minutes. That was the exact time it took me to get from home to the restaurant. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Kristine, who promptly seated me. She was my server and was attentive, patient (it took me a bit to decide what to order since everything sounded amazing), and super friendly. My meal was prepared just as I requested (I swapped the ciabatta for an English muffin) and was served hot within 15 minutes of placing my order. I had a great view of the kitchen and enjoyed watching the staff work together as a team. The restaurant was clean, from the tables to the floors, and I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. I'm hopeful that on my next visit, the food, cleanliness, and friendly vibe will remain consistent with the wonderful experience I had today.

Went in for breakfast this morning and was served food with some kind of paper cooked in noticed after I took a bite that seemed wrong. They took it off the bill and offered to make something else but I can't trust anything that comes out of this kitchen now. The thought of them having and using a batch of waffle batter that apparently has trash floating in it is just too much. Several people apologized but this kind of thing should never happen.
