Courtepaille Alencon - Cerisé

It is found just off the Alençon Nord exit 18 on the Rouen-Le Mans A28. And provides a more relaxing, comfortable and quality alternative to the service station restaurant at the same exit, for only a little extra money and time, well worth it. Typical Courtepaille cuisine : simple yet tasty grilled dishes.Very welcoming service : a strong point.Would return and do recommend.

The reviews here of Courtepaille Alencon aren't very positive, but I think it deserves a little better. We came here quite late, and it's not at all obvious how to get into the carpark, so we circled round it a few times, trying to get in! When we got in the restaurant, we had to wait for a fairly long time to be seated, during which no one said anything to us. However, when we were eventfully seated, things got better. We ordered the fast option and it certainly was fast. However, the food still tasted nice and the general ambience was pleasant. The wifi worked, we were attended to, and it wasn't too expensive.A perfectly adequate restaurant in my opinion!

Just of the a28 on the outskirts of Allencon is perhaps not the first place you would look to find a pleasant restaurant with traditional French grillade. However the Courtepaille was brimming with local diners taking a traditional Sunday lunch A la Francaise. Usually a good sign for any restaurant high levels of local patronage. This was certainly the case for this Coutepaille traditionally furnished in a rustic barn style open plan with the chefs grilling within the main body of the restaurant adding a cosy home cooked feel to the dining experience. My steak was tender and smokey with a jacket potato cooked to perfection. As usual for most restaurants in France bread was replenished free of charge throughout the meal and a free welcome salad was given to every adult and a plate of charcuterie to each child. everyone enjoyed their meal and the price was right given the quality of the food snd service . 2 adults and 2 children very well fed for 55 euros.

Ok so I had a coupon for $2 off any sandwich I ordered the roast beef on multigrain.

If this place wasn't in the nearest food to my office, I would probably never go.
