The restaurant is a lovely and spotless venue with excellent service. While the food wasn't served hot and fresh, and the teriyaki chicken was cold, it was still decent. It made for a good quick stop to grab a meal on our way home from our road trip.
Some dishes here are absolutely fantastic—definitely deserving a 10/10. The sweet and sour chicken, fried vegetables, and sushi were all excellent. My husband really enjoyed the yaki soba too; he rated it 9/10 mainly because the paprika was a bit overpowering, but I think it’s exactly how noodles should taste. As foodies hailing from D.C. and New York, we can be quite picky, but this place feels like home. The interior is simple and affordable, but the cute picnic benches outside are nice, despite the somewhat rough view. It's conveniently located right across the street from the outlets. The owner is very friendly, and the restaurant is clean. The prices are particularly low for the big flavors and generous portion sizes.
I was hesitant after a review to avoid sushi, but our family of 4 had it there twice with a variety of roles and a sequence of Teriyaki without complaints! All fish were fresh, rolling delicious. My youngest claims it's the best sushi place ever. I'd say it's the best I had in WA. Only a very legitimate Japanese restaurant in CA was superior, but only barely (I did not eat sushi outside the USA, but had eaten it in several states and many restaurants in the USA).
This is my second time eating here. The presentation, taste, and portion of food is more than enough. The taste is fantastic. This is my new go to for sushi and sides.
