Lobby At One Aldwych 5 Star Covent Garden

Very well made cocktails in a hotel lobby bar. Top notch service. The bar atmosphere and decor is a little sterile though. Perhaps better for a corporate meeting rather than a night out with friends. Pricey.

Beautiful bar, good cocktails and it feels like an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the west end. However, one of the female staff (older with dark hair in a bun) was rude and patronising, took 15 minutes to bring over my drink after I ordered it. I asked if she could top up the nuts, she bent over, looked at the table and myself and gave a disingenuous smile, said “yes, I will get you more nuts” then stood there looking at me! It was as if she was insulted that I requested this top up. The nuts she brought looked as though it came from another customers table and was the left overs. After that she walked past me several times slowly and didn’t fulfil what she said she was going to do. Very weird and unprofessional behaviour. That is not customer service. With that being said, the other staff members immediately came over and made things right and behaved in a polite manner. Shame how one fruit can spoil the rest of the basket.

Great cocktail bar! We went for the Arizona Bloom and London Poppy cocktails and they were amazing!

Great cocktails beyond the standard offers, very attentive and friendly staff.

Had amazing pre dinner cocktails, our server Aldrich made great recommendations on our choices. Would come back. Relaxed but luxury atmosphere.
