I must say, it was a delightful meal with fresh meat and vegetables. The staff and atmosphere were also wonderful. I will definitely be returning when I am in the area again.
The village pub is lovely overall, but one of the staff members working at the bar was incredibly unpleasant and unwelcoming towards me during my last visit. I waited at the bar for about 5-10 minutes to be served, only for this woman to call last orders and refuse to serve me when I asked for a drink. She rudely turned her back to me and told me the bar had closed, without even a smile. I was completely sober, as I had just finished work and was meeting friends for one drink before heading home. Her unnecessary rudeness has discouraged me from returning, and I question why they would hire someone who clearly lacks basic hospitality skills. I understand if she couldn't serve more drinks, but there was no need for her to be so rude.
This charming village pub has a very warm and welcoming staff, creating a friendly environment. We have dined here numerous times and the food has always been fresh, well presented, and delicious. Even during lockdown, we have used the takeaway service which has always impressed us. We highly recommend this place!
Ordered food to take away and collected. Had heard recently they were doing Caribbean food so thought I’d give it a go! Ordered Chicken with Chilli and Mango sauce, coconut curry, Mac n Cheese and Jerk Chicken. All were great! It was ready on time, smooth collection and was still very hot when I got it home! Would recommend the food here to either take away or eat in!
I had great restaraunt food delivered and decided visit the pub! great place. food was really tasty. Staff were really friendly too.
