フィードバックを提供するI highly recommend trying their pre-packaged kimchi selection. It is definitely worth checking out.
I usually go to my local restaurant because it's smaller and less crowded, but the selection at this place is unbeatable. The space can be difficult to navigate because it's always busy and the aisles are narrow, but they have a wide variety of items. If you're looking for something specific, you're likely to find it here. The amount of options available is almost overwhelming.
I like this store because of the produce variety. I was able to find whole frozen durian here for $2.99/lb. I'd definitely come again.
I have only visited two Asian markets so far - H Mart and Lotte. I plan on exploring more in the future. I prefer H Mart over Lotte because it doesn't have as strong of a fish smell and offers more vegan options. Both H Mart and Lotte sell soy milk and bulk tofu. They also have cheap individual tofu and fruit. However, none of the candy is vegan as it contains non-organic sugar made with bone char. Asian grocery stores are a good starting point for vegans with their bulk tofu and soy milk options. I believe if we support Asian markets by purchasing vegan products, they may expand their selection. By talking to these stores and showing our interest in more vegan options, they will cater to their vegan customers. I haven't had a chance to explore the Hispanic section yet, but I'm sure they have vegan options there as well. Health food stores can be expensive, but Asian markets offer affordable bulk vegan options. I have found H Mart to be the best Asian market I have visited so far. Cooking is not my favorite, so I buy restaurant-sized tofu and soy sauce from Asian markets to save money. I portion out the tofu and dip it in soy sauce to avoid waste.
Make them please and check their pre-packed Kimchi selection.
