Vela Azul - Cascais

We lived in Cascais for all of 2018 and this was our local hangout. Throughout Portugal you can find restaurants that are inside of neighborhoods where probably 90 percent of the folks there live in the neighborhood and walk to the restaurant. Vela Azul is exactly that type of restaurant. Friendly family owned with amazing local food at a very reasonable price. We made it back for the first time since the pandemic and nothing has changed. We decided we will come back for our final dinner before leaving Portugal this year

This is a nice local restaurant alittle out of the town centre but well worth the 10-15 min walk. The star of the show is the wide variety of fish simplly but expertly prepared.

Excelent food. The best place to eat fish in Cascais. Nothing like it. Only superb. Will recommend to anyone
