Applebee's Grill - Cartersville

As a church group we have came to this establishment in the past many times and had wonderful service, and a wonderful time. Unfortunately the last 2 times coming they told us they would not seat us. Last night they were hesitant to take a group of 8 at 9:45 pm. Which did not make sense there were not many people there to begin with. Very slow customer wise. We didn’t get our food until 11 pm. The food I ordered for my daughter also came back wrong but after such a long wait I just didn’t mention it. But it was just a very strange experience the servers and whoever else was just standing near the kitchen staring at us for a long time before we even got a server. It was just very disappointing it went from our go to place!! And now I don’t believe we will be coming back.

Abbi was our server and was amazing. She was attentive and friendly. Food was exactly as ordered and hot. Much better experience this time than the last time we were here (different server then).

We came here during their happy hour when some of the apps are half off and to grab some drinks. The tables were very sticky, service was below the standard since we kept running out of drinks, and the food was not very good. We were not big fans of this place. :

We sat here for 30 minutes with no one else in the restaurant and were not served or even asked what our order was. I guess showing up an hour before closing is too late. The hostess is the only one who was polite at all.

My experience at this establishment started out good as far as the waitress goes and taking our orders but things quickly took a nose dive when I was told that I could not get my entire appetizer because they were missing chips for the spinach and artichoke dip. I ordered the trio appetizer wings, eggrolls, and spinach dip but because they did not have the chips for the one item they refused to make the entire order Which they say is due to price which I’m pretty sure they could’ve just took off whatever chips may cost by themselves to make up for the difference but instead they refuse to make everything else that came with the order even though I told them I did not mind the order without the chips but because it was my child’s birthday I decided not to take it further and ordered something else speaking of which after informing the waitress that it was my child’s birthday she asked me again SHE ASKED ME if I would like the waitresses and servers or staff to sing to my child for her birthday which I happily replied yes she goes talks to the manager and comes back and tell me that they do not do that… if you did not do it then why offer they did do it except for I guess because of the color of our skin they did not want to Did I let that go as well yes only to then be met an aggravating amount of time later with cold food clearly the food had been prepared for a great amount of time before it was served in which I seriously doubt was not on purpose at first I felt sorry for the waitress because I felt it was not her fault and did not want to blame her for something she did not do but towards the end of our being there her attitude changed as if she was being annoyed by us for being annoyed at this less than zero star service which reduced her tip a significant amount that she could have had from me and that I was well prepared to pay had her attitude not changed I will never in my life step foot in this establishment or pay one penny at this establishment ever again I’ve been to Applebee’s establishments in poor neighborhoods and got greater service then I have at this one
