Located in the heart of Downtown Carson, BaBoys has only two designated parking spaces and allows only a few people, within the restaurant due to Covid rules. I ordered the Lumpia Shanghai, Bistek Onion Rings, Sisig Quesadilla and the Laing Pasta on my first venture here. The Lumpia Shanghai was delicious and has the traditional Filipino flavors of ground pork, onions, carrots and eggs in filling. The Bistek Onion rings were too crisp and hard to brittle it. The dice skirt steak is good, although minimal in portion. Sisig Quesadilla is tasteful and not greasy, although it can use some more cheese. The Laing Pasta had the smallest amount of taste. The spaghetti was not overcooked, but can definitely use more garlic, ginger, pork bell, parmigiano reggiano and tomatoes for additional freshness. BaBoy has only about ten items on the menu and hopefully they will add the extra taste to some of their dishes.
The place is small for a large amount. But don't be fooled. The food was amazing. It had a culture of Filipino with a little American food and Spanish food. I was amazed. My friend was shocked that I repeated how good the food was. They offer like a fusion food for different culture, but still has a filipino soul. I love it. The taste and quality with the price you pay. Damn. Not bad. Good taste, size quality, inexpensive price very affordable
Great Philipino food. The Lumpia burger is delicious.
OMG this place was good. I loved it and it was something i was craving the moment i sae the meal before the order. I ordered a talapia burger ? and the tater tots and i will say was goooooood ?. I must admit though i didn't think it would be. I also was recommended by the lady to get the melon juice ?and believe me it was worth it. The service also was amazing and i have to admit she went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed ?????. Its tiny but full ? of great things. I recommend it 100 ? percent.
Oh. My. Ghawd!!! This places is a hole in the wall at first sight and the menu is simple but what is on there will blow your mind once it is put in front of you and into your mouth. We got the sisig quesadilla, lumpia burger, sisig tater tots, tosilug burrito, and bistek fries. Absolutely amazing! It is all VERY filling and a great Mexican Filipino fusion of flavors and ingredients! At first I thought that we would just get a few lumpia stuffed into a burger but the patty was an actual flat folded lumpia with all the fixings! The sisig isn?t a part of the tater tots but a topping and once you pop that egg yolk it is game over you will need another life because you?ll die from food coma if you eat the entire huge portion!
