Gio's Taqueria - Carrollton

My husband and I were in the area for work and decided to look for a cozy Mexican restaurant to dine at, and we stumbled upon this incredible spot! The food was fantastic, especially the ground beef tacos topped with lime. The service was outstanding as well. However, what truly impressed us was how clean the place was! We're used to dining out and noticing dust everywhere, but it was clear that they pay attention to the details, not just the surface. That’s something you don’t see often these days. The server was also excellent; we ordered the 20 taco special, and he suggested we might want some to take with us. He even staggered the tacos for our takeout so they would still be fresh when we left. If you're looking for a delicious meal in a clean restaurant with attentive service, but without the crowds of larger establishments, this is the place for you. We will definitely return when we’re back in the area!

I've supported this restaurant many times, but this will be my last visit. I chose to spend my money at a local business instead of going to Shake Shack, but it seems they would have appreciated my business more. I stood at the counter for three minutes before anyone acknowledged me, even though I made eye contact with four different employees. This isn't the first time I've been ignored at this establishment, and moving forward, I'll be giving my hard-earned money to business owners who reflect my own background. Additionally, the Cuban torta I ordered was completely lacking in seasoning today. I was highly disappointed.

This was my first visit, and my review is solely based on today's experience. We ordered the birria tacos and the chicharrón and cheese pupusa. I’ve never tried pupusas before, but I was hoping for a stronger pork flavor. I remember tasting the cheese more than the pork. That said, it was still delicious, especially with the pickled cabbage slaw and their salsa. I have to say, I really enjoyed their salsa! It had a nice, subtle smoky flavor. The birria tacos were decent, but I’m definitely coming back to try more of their tacos! Another table had a large platter that looked really good!

I had a taste for Birria Tacos and landed here. I was not disappointed?they were really good! I had the Pineapple Aqua Fresca, and it was refreshing! Of Birria is not your thing, they have variety of deliciousness to choose from. By the way they have aTaco Tuesday Special 10 tacos for $15

It?s ok, It worked for the moment. They were very fresh and very reasonably priced !! I got 3 for like 8 dollars with consommé. It?s just about bland. I want FLAVORS, I want to taste the herbs in the meat and consommé. ????????????? We love flavors pleaseconsider adding more flavor? not salt but flavor.
