Catfish House - Carrollton

The catfish is always seasoned well, hot, and tasty. As far as I'm concerned, that's all that matters for a restaurant named Catfish House.But sadly, sometimes, in a 4 piece combo there's usually one baby fillet. And another time the fries they served were clearly old and just fried a 2nd time. They were gross.Lastly I gotta say the dining room is horrible with lots of stuff on the walls covered in layers of dust and spider webs. It's very off putting.But as I said earlier, the fried catfish is on point y'all so get that ish to-go and enjoy.

We have had seafood at various locations in the Plano area, including Pappadeaux and Flying Fish. After trying out food from Catfish House in Carrollton, we are now its fans. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent, and it is reasonably priced. Mostly we have done online orders and picked them up. The food is always ready on time and nothing is shorted, very important. No hassles restaurant; just good food and service.

OK maybe this is good seafood for Carrolton, but it definitely is not worth the drive from Lewisville! Do not order the french fries if at all possible try and get another side. I have never seen a restaurant have Hush Puppies like French Fries either. I ordered the 5 shrimp and 2 fish. The fish did not taste good at all for me. And the Shrimp are made with cornmeal. The shrimp probably tasted better than the catfish though. I feel sorry for the people in Carrolton is this what you call good seafood

Never been great. Asked for extra tartar sauce for my to go order. Counterperson made a point of telling me there was extra sauce. My fault for believing no extra tartar sauce but ketchup i didn't ask nor want. I suppose it's a good thing the tartar sauce doesn't taste like tartar sauce. Such a disappointmentFood: 2/5

Just a hole-in-wall in a strip center, but they know how to fry a Catfish!And they have been in the same place for a while, so that's saying something!Come get a Catfish basket for the price of a burger combo meal. Nice change of pace!Food: 5/5
