Unfortunately, the sausage rolls were inedible and the caramel square was nothing special. The real disappointment, however, was the extremely high price of £7.10. I have to say, it felt like a rip-off. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
Misleading reviews led to believe dog friendly (a bowl on the floor outside doesn’t constitute), but very much isn’t. Owners should claim page and correct misleading reviews to avoid further inconvenience to potential customers.
While exploring Carrickfergus, I decided to have lunch at Rumours Coffee House. I was happy with my decision. I ordered soup and an Americano coffee. Before I sat down, the owner ensured my table was clean. My coffee was served first, followed by the soup with white bread and butter. The celery soup tasted like it may have been from a packet, but it was still delicious and came in a generous portion. The total bill, including the coffee, came to £6.95. The menu displayed a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while also offering a tempting selection of scones, biscuits, and cakes with tea. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive, making it a pleasant and family-friendly environment. I was even offered more bread during my meal and thanked the owner as I left, who kindly held the door open for me. I would definitely recommend Rumours Coffee House to others.
On a rainy day, we were in need of a quick lunch and a good cup of coffee. We stumbled upon this cafe for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and delicious sandwiches. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal!
