One of our fav spots! Great food and even better service. Make sure to check out the pasta poster.
We have been coming to the Loaf for over 20 years and Hug's is always one of our restaurants of choice. Last Saturday night, My husband, daughter, and her family enjoyed a wonderful meal. But, as good as the food was which was pretty much perfect our server Josh went above and beyond to make this an enjoyable evening. He was wonderful to the two children and was so patient with their ordering choices. My granddaughter had never had the vodka sauce and I knew she would love it, he gave her a spoonful to try. He was attentive but not overbearing. Showed up at the exact right times. This restaurant is a big part in making us feel like the Loaf is our happy place.
Authentic old school Italian fare served in a charming/funky/homey setting it friendly, knowledgeable servers (and the owner). The shrimp in a cream based red sauce with capers and some spiciness in angel hair pasta was perfect. We had an outstanding Sicilian wine at our server's recommendation which was memorable. The prices are reasonable. We had great conversations with other diners all evening long. A great place if you are skiing at Sugarloaf.
Hugs is a cozy restaurant that offers authentic Italian cuisine with a charming, old-school vibe. The seating area is intimate and tends to fill up quickly, so making a reservation is advisable, even during the off-season. The menu is extensive and only serves dinner, featuring a great selection of wines to complement your meal. We've ordered food for a party, and it arrived well-packed, fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. We've dined there many times, and while it's not the cheapest option, it certainly offers good value for the quality of food. The staff is friendly and helpful. One thing to note is that reservations can be tricky since they only open at 4:00 PM and the phone often gets a busy signal, but it's definitely worth the effort!
