フィードバックを提供するWhile staying in Carmel, we decided to try out this recommended restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactory. It took a few minutes for us to be seated, and then we waited for 25 minutes without anyone taking our drink order. The service was unorganized and slow. Another diner near us ordered the veggie pasta, but found it to be terrible. Even her request for tea took 10 minutes to be fulfilled, and she was served a tea bag. We were unimpressed by the overall service and atmosphere, especially considering the upscale location and prices. After waiting for attention for an extended period of time, we decided to leave, only to realize we had left our jackets behind. We had to return to retrieve them, but thankfully no one had noticed our departure. Overall, our experience at this restaurant left us feeling disappointed and confused about the quality of service provided.
Overrated and absurd. Someone took a beautiful location with a view of the Pacific Ocean and ruined it with this restaurant. My first mistake was not ordering bottled water. I'm convinced that they didn't spare any expenses importing water from Carmel Municipal Pool. The portion sizes of the entrees could be best described as extremely small. Served in large bowls, each dish looked like a tiny meal from far away. I ordered the African prawns, although I'm not sure how you can determine the heritage of a prawn. The three prawns were either lost in the Sahara desert for a while or taken from their mothers as babies. At an average price of $23 per entree, I'm sure the butter sauce must have had gold sprinkles in it. The beef dish, labeled as seared beef tenderloin, was finished after only two cuts with a knife. It was beef, but definitely not tender. The small piece of meat would have been better on a skewer along with the lonely onion next to it. We thought we were going out for dinner but instead felt like we were at a supermarket taste-testing table. At a cost of over $100 per person, I now have a new understanding of feeling ripped off. Take a look at Pacific Edge, or as I like to call it, "PE'd on".
My husband and I dined at Pacific's Edge for our anniversary. The wine selection was incredible! It was like browsing through a novel, and they have knowledgeable staff to assist you. Our server helped us choose the perfect wine to pair with our meal. The dining experience was superb. The food was impressive and the service was attentive and well-informed. I would highly recommend Pacific's Edge to anyone looking for a special occasion spot or a full culinary experience.
The cocktail was tastefully prepared and the mezze board was varied and delicious. The views are of course breathtaking, but the service was a bit meh. Servers should be cautious, no plates or cups on the table at a place with prices like this, and if a customer gives you a stock plate that came dirty, do not inspect it before the customer to check whether it is actually dirty.
Tim, the waiter, was very nice and fast! He offered to take our picture several times in the evening, so thoughtful! The menus here glow! So no need to take off your phone flashlight! We have two cocktails. Lavender lemon drops and indigo sunset. The Indigo sunset has some microgreens in it that tasted like Cilantro! Both drinks were delicious, but maybe not $18 delicious. The Indigo sunset was sweet overall. The lavender lemon fell it was pretty tart. For appetite we have the shrimps with Gigante BEAN (but don't worry, you get several beans, the dish needs more bread to the delicious garlic butter that the shrimps are happy swimming! The short rib was very divine. It was very delicate, slightly pulled apart with the fork. The sauce with which it came was an excellent pairing with the potatoes (so creamy! And carrots (pretty sweet . The catch of the day came on a bed of the Risotto. The Risotto really paired well with the fish and has a light cheesy and citrus flavor. It was also very buttery. The fish was perhaps not our favorite. Some parts of it were really dry. For dessert we were given a beautiful black cherry cheese cake. It was an amazing opportunity to finish an unforgettable evening in this beautiful Vista.
