Blue Ocean Robata Sushi - Carlsbad

Not unforgettable. No. I can't even remember where it was or whether I liked eating or not. I'm sorry. it just didn't affect me. I said I just picked up the place. I have nothing nice to say here. I ate there one back, with bad eating and an even worse "wax" staff. it could be completely different today.

The food was absolutely delicious, and my favorite was the chef's special Tempura Roll. We sat at the sushi bar, where the chef was incredibly friendly and even prepared a special roll for us that was simply wonderful. He also recommended a few items from the menu, all of which were excellent. However, our server at the bar only checked on us once, and she didn't refill our water or come back to see if we needed anything else. Despite the lack of attention from the server, the food was so good that it didn't impact my overall experience. It was a busy Saturday night, but we hardly had to wait for our food or for a table. Overall, I would definitely return and recommend this place to my friends and family.

I had a fantastic first culinary experience at this restaurant. The ambiance is warm and inviting, particularly in the covered terrace with heating. The menu offers a wonderful variety of options. The sushi rolls were as visually appealing as they were delicious. The beef slices served on a hot plate at the table were not only tasty but also entertaining. We also enjoyed the garlic edamame and gyoza, both of which were excellent appetizers. It was impressive to see not only a sake and wine list but also an array of whiskies on the menu. The service was highly professional and friendly. Emily, our server, was attentive and answered all our questions with patience and a smile, enhancing our culinary experience. We will definitely return to Blue Ocean for another delightful dinner, and I will gladly recommend this restaurant to others.

I visited on Mother's Day and only had to wait 20 minutes. (We went to Zum Grill down the street for a cocktail in the meantime.) The menu is extensive and the prices are very reasonable! The Bao rolls were fantastic, and the sushi was fresh. We had a wonderful time, and even though there were some changes, we received excellent service.

Great place for sushi. The staff is very friendly and great atmosphere for a great dinner. The bomb is great.
