We stood in line to order food, but I found it a bit off-putting to have people standing at eye level to the desserts while we waited. On the bright side, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The chicken was fantastic, and the waffles were fresh and fluffy. It's unfortunate that they will be closing their doors on February 28, 2019, so be sure to visit before then!
I took my mother-in-law here for her birthday, and it was a fantastic experience! I arrived early to decorate before she arrived, and everything went smoothly. Since my mother-in-law is a religious woman, it was lovely to hear Christian music playing when we walked in. Being raised in the South, it was important for me to take her somewhere authentic, and she was truly impressed with everything, even the lemonade, which she claimed was just like they make it down South. Our waitress, Bretagne, was friendly and patient, and the owner stopped by to greet us during dinner. With true Southern quality and hospitality, what more could you ask for? Thank you for having us!
I ordered the fried chicken, and it was amazing—not greasy at all, and cooked to perfection. The potatoes and yams were fresh, and it was clear that quality ingredients were used. The service may not be the quickest, but good food takes time to prepare. The prices were very reasonable for the quality offered. I highly recommend this place! Look for me enjoying a chicken leg! Update: Unfortunately, the lovely people who ran this restaurant have retired, and it is now closed.
Large southern place, food flavor are well balanced and atmosphere is filled with real southern hospitality. Our server Brandon very nice Your husband and service was great!
The Cajun chicken is delicious. However. The attitude of the chef and the man at the desk was very impolite. I drove 30 minutes to try this food out but I was disappointed by their behavior. For a Saturday evening the place was pretty empty and I feel like it was because of the owners attitude because it's definitely not the food. The food was great, but it wasn't good enough for me to return and spend that amount of money to be treated like a nuisance especially since I drove that far. It's unfortunate they weren't better with customer service otherwise they'd have a loyal customer. But good food isn't rare and I didn't deserve the attitudes. Won't be returning unless I'm in the area and feel for southern cooking
