Spoon - Carindale

After moving abroad for 7 years i was happy to return home and find my local cafe still open. The staff may have changed but the quality is still the same. The quality of coffee is still exceptional and i found the new staff to be friendly ad helpful. I did not eat on this occasion however the breakfast menu looks great and i will be back. With a wide range of food there is a little something for everyone.

We picked this place as we were limited for choice on easter Monday in Brisbane as most places seemed to be shut. The cafe was great, they took my booking well in advance and replied to my emails. It was a relaxed atmosphere suitable for meeting family as we were. Luckily we had plans to make Spoon Deli our breakfast spot after a long flight from the UK and after walking round the beautiful city we had built quite the appetite. Two orders placed for The Breakfast burger and a speedy service, needless to say we were not disappointed!

Been there a couple of times with my family and have always enjoyed the coffee and food. The place is quite roomy and has an open and relaxed feeling to it. Hubby loves his big breaky and the boys quite enjoy their running eggs on toast. Tried the fish taco the other day and it was beautiful. We always go to the playground afterwards which is just across the street from this cafe and next to the ferry station.

We have been here twice for breakfast however haven't been overly impressed, it was just close to us. The girl behind the counter was rude however the girl who delivered food was nice. The fresh juice was good but I feel there wasn't much to choose from and was a small meal for the price.

We arrived in Brisbane in December 2012. We hadn't much on the plane from an itinerary change that had us fly from Fiji the next day. We were pretty hungry so we saw the spoon counter and decided to try it out. Very good strawberry pancakes with ice cream scoop. There is lots of selection in the counter ranging from sandwiches, pastries, omelettes, salads, etc. Staff was friendly. Food and service was good.
