Star Chinese Jīn Mǎn Lóu - Cardiff

This restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine, featuring ingredients and dishes that are often hard to find in Chinese restaurants across the UK. The food is excellent, and I absolutely adore the delicious meals! I frequently visit with friends to celebrate special occasions.

I've visited this restaurant several times and always had a great experience. The food is flavorful, served quickly, and reasonably priced. I tried the chili beef, which had a nice kick to it, but it was delicious overall.

Excellent Chinese restaurant! The prices are very reasonable, ranging from £7 to £15 per dish.

Really tasty food and big, cheap portions. Probably best to get a nice variety and share rather than getting one dish per person. I Don't know the first thing about Chinese culture but the atmosphere was really weird and there was a lot of Asian customers so I'd say they're quite genuine. There was also a couple preparing their own raw meat at their table, which is nice. I think.

Odd mix of really authentic, great food at very reasonable prices but poor service. Lots of Asian people there seemed used to it so maybe it’s a cultural thing to have to wave your arm in the air or stand up and walk to the counter in order to pay, not to mention the water which came in plastic cooking measuring jugs. For me, it was worth it for the food and so I’d still recommend it. If you’re having the duck, expect lots of small bones in it!
