Got No Beef - Cardiff

As everything shuts early on Sunday nights (same for Mondays) we came for an early dinner. I hadn’t had lunch too long ago so I decided to have two sides, the shrimp and cheese dippers. My partner had a bbq stack burger with chips. The shrimp and cheese dippers were nice and I liked the sauces. They didn’t have milkshakes and we wanted a sundae but they were out of ice cream which was disappointing. It was quite pricey but maybe other places are cheap. After reading the reviews on here I booked for a group of 6 of us when we visited Cardiff for a wrestling event. Not a lot of choices drink wise, no lager and one ipa. Milkshakes had been blacked out on the menu, seemingly no longer available. We were told they had no napkins… seems a bit odd to not just pop to a store and grab some, especially with burger etc. Food wasn’t particular hot, we were a group of 6 and I know timings can be a bit difficult, wanted to just eat and leave as we were going to a show. The loaded fries weren’t great.. £2.50 more for a small amount of cheese and beef dumped in the middle of the chips. Left a bit overwhelmed at the prices and underwhelmed by the food. To be honest I wouldn’t visit here again, lots of other options in Cardiff, quite shocked this is ranked as number 1 Updated from previous review on 2022-09-04

Such good vegan junk food. We ordered the platter and a burger. I also had the cheesecake It was all amazing!!

After sampling their delicious menu at various vegan fairs over the years I’m overjoyed to see GNB settle down. Their venue has a wonderful, comfortable and friendly vibe and their food is brilliant as usual. Great staff.
