El Pollo Rico - Carbondale

One of my favorite dishes is the Chile Relleno, and I also really enjoy the chicken enchilada plate. My children constantly ask for the tamales. I've even prepared the Pork Carnitas special a few times on Sundays, and it's fantastic!

In terms of Mexican restaurants, the food here is decent. The steak fajitas were well-seasoned, and the cheese dip (not queso) was quite tasty. However, the service left something to be desired. We had to navigate by a man seated at a large table that was pushed right next to the front door. Additionally, our waitress seemed to overlook us, despite the restaurant not being very busy at the time.

El Pollo Rico is our favorite restaurant. We visit a few times each month. My wife really enjoys the chicken enchiladas, while I usually opt for the chile relleno. Jose and Emma provide excellent service!

This restaurant offers the best chicken! The decor is lively and fun, with quick and efficient service from friendly staff. The chicken is delicious, and the flour tortillas are excellent. The salsas are also quite tasty, reminiscent of the Mexican chicken spots in Southern California.

I hadn't been frequenting this restaurant for the past few years because we usually end up eating somewhere on Main Street.I've been here a few times over the last 2 months and it's definitely our new favorite. We've done the chicken takeout and enchiladas, tacos, etc... it's all delicious, very authentic. I wish this restaurant had outdoor dining, but it's worth eating inside. If you're looking for the real thing, this is it.
