The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, providing great insights into the menu. The offerings are extensive, featuring dishes for up to six people, seafood, chicken or beef burgers, wraps, carving stations, and a diverse selection of drinks—including wine, shooters, and hard liquor. They also have gluten-free options available. I particularly enjoyed the variety of side dishes, including mixed vegetables, side salads, onion rings, and an impressive array of sauces. However, the vegetable and chicken strips were a bit oily—perhaps the chef should ease up on the oil next time. I’m definitely keen to return! Don’t miss the freshly made garlic baguette; it’s a must-try. And save room for dessert, as their waffles, ice cream, and chocolate treats are divine. The food is truly fantastic! We began our meal by sharing the Peri Peri chicken livers, which were mildly spicy and came with a spectacular creamy sauce. They were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The manager, Justin, then treated us to some chilled Jägermeisters on the house, which was a delightful surprise. Next, we opted for the day’s special: a seafood platter paired with a red or white wine for R175, which included a carafe. I often find specials underwhelming, so I certainly didn’t expect what arrived at our table. It was an incredible gastronomic surprise with an enormous portion of seafood! We received a bowl of creamy mussels (12), 6 shrimp, calamari strips, calamari tentacles, a piece of hake, a side of chips, and a generous serving of tartar sauce. Everything was delicious. To top it off, we had the Amarula cream crumble for dessert, which was well-presented alongside ice cream and a crunchy, caramelized topping. It was divine as well. I must give a shoutout to our attentive and helpful waiter, Chanté. I rate this place a solid 9 out of 10, and it’s definitely worth a visit. I will certainly be back. Thanks to the Madeira team for a lovely afternoon!

This charming neighborhood spot offers daily specials with generous portions and excellent preparation. They also feature a daily drink special. With a cozy fire roaring indoors for those rainy days and plenty of outdoor seating for the summer, it's a perfect place to relax.

Nice place with good food. Only the problem is not to order frits with the plates. Not anymore. Dissapointed that it is a well-known fact that the part for which you pay R65 is a quarter of what you receive for R45 as a page. I'm sure someone fixes it...

Loving the new Madeiras. Seems so much bigger now after renovations. Really friendly and efficient complement of staff. The new owner Rory (ex Victoria times in fish hoek) has brought his great personality to the place along with a nice fresh, upmarket feel.
