I had an amazing lunch at Den Anker. The breathtaking views of the mountain and waterfront added a delightful touch. Great atmosphere and setting. Even though Table Mountain was covered in cloud, what a beautiful setting. We did not have a reservation but reception accommodated us. Thanks! Service was excellent . The mussels were absolutely devine. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will be back.

What a lovely evening. It was our first time. We loved the atmosphere of the place. The food was good with a lovely view of the harbour. Our waiter, Daemon, took good care of us.

Lovely food and attentive service. We had just arrived in Cape Town on Tuesday night and fancied a meal in a relaxed atmosphere. We first headed to another restaurant but looking across the harbour at Den Anker it looked far more active so decided to give it a try. The food is hybrid French style, with moules, fish soup, chateaubriand. We ordered the chateaubriand and fish soup. Steaks were perfect (although a little too much sauce for my taste a little side pot of sauce would have been better), and I loved the fish soup which was packed with flavour. We enjoyed ourselves so much we were the last to leave and the restaurant happily left us alone. I’d thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely order wine with whatever you have for a meal. Burger was great. Tuna was nice. Fries were okay. Wine was the best.
