Wife really wanted to try the Waffle House as the first time customer. I was empty based on mixed reviews, but we decided to give it anyway. Food was very good, we thought the portions and prices were very fair, and I was actually surprised by the limited menu choices, but it was a balanced variety and not overwhelming. MOST of the staff was great (including Josh and Nikki) with the exception of our server (which I will not name publicly). She had very bad tableside style and tried to take our order before we even had the opportunity to see the menu. Despite their lack of customer service, we tried to be excessively polite, but she never smiled, she was short and almost boundlessly rude. I tried my drink order, and she just said we didn't have it without offering to be asked for alternative decisions. She would drop our food on the table and go immediately without saying a word or asking if something else was needed, twice she went from empty beverage glasses very obviously placed at the edge of the table without filling it proactively until we expressly asked, and if we had all our food, she never returned until she had delivered the tab. My wife really wanted Tabasco for her eggs, but we refused to ask because we were afraid the service would deteriorate. My 5 years old even said I don't think she likes us. Quite obviously, there is a problem if a 5 years old can understand lack of basic customer service and around it all out, she was responsible for 2 tables when we were there (7 people). I have previously worked in the restaurant health industry, so I know how the business works, your tips are a large part of your wage, and I can confidently tell you I am NOT the first or last customer to experience this level of respect from this server. We will visit Waffle House again, just not this one, and if we ever do, I will definitely ask for another server. I have left a 2-star rating that would have been a 4 or 5 if we were not stuck with this server (and unlike possible assumptions it was not young). She transformed a maiden voyage into a shipwreck and it is crucial for companies to monitor the level of customer service that their employees offer (even if it is difficult for employers at this age to find people) they can either be part of the problem or solution. Sometimes it is better to scal and roll with what you have than constantly employ an individual who pulls an anchor and more business out of this door than in it! This could have been a good experience, but instead it was a bad one due to our server that all negated the good, since we were never able to thank the cook who made our great food!

Came in at 1:30 a.m. and asked for a Hi-C, good my friendly server hasn't listened to me and immediately brought me hot tea without an eye on what I think is a rather strange request. That means, my hot black tea is delightful and I'm at their menu options, Waffle House they don't just have tea?s also pretty good.
Hurricane Ian really walloped south west Florida, we have seen so many wind and flood damaged properties that its really mentally challenging to keep our spirits up, cue: Waffle House ! Nothing says comfort like strong hot coffee, some eggs perfectly over medium, crispy hash browns with cheese, add a perfectly crisp, fluffy, blueberry laden blueberry waffle with butter and syrup all served with a smile. Its straight forward honest food, at every day affordable prices. Theres just no other place that feels like warm hug for your belly.
