Sting-ray's - Cape Charles

This was our first visit, and we were blown away! The food was incredible, and our waitress Etta was delightful. She made sure our drinks were always topped up! We're definitely planning to return. The stuffed shrimp, hush puppies, and cornbread were outstanding! The mac and cheese tasted just like Grandma used to make. The calf and flounder were also spot on! I truly can't find anything negative to say about this place!

We arrived at String Rays just 10 minutes before closing time, and had I known that beforehand, I wouldn't have gone in, as it feels quite disrespectful to close so close to closing time. However, our server, Etta, was incredibly welcoming and insisted we stay. I ordered the mussels, mac and cheese, and cornbread, and all three dishes were absolutely delicious.

STINGING GREAT FOOD. We left DFW for a little ride...found a really interesting and tasty place that only the locals must know about...except for Paula Dean, Southern Living, etc....great pulled pork sandwich and the wife had an even better cup of clam chowder...worth the drive from DFW

Who would have thought such excellent food could be found at a gas station? We tried the crab cake, steak, and a chicken salad sandwich, and everything was fantastic! The grain bread was delicious too. Definitely worth a visit!

Best sweet potato biscuits ever. I never had a bad meal. Dinner at home. And watch the lady who calls the orders, never write anything up.
